The launch of Bing has been a challenge in more ways than one for Google. Under pressure to come up to speed with the changes in Search Engine Marketing and the rampant abuse of the search engines by sauve Internet Marketers, Google made it clear that the future of search will be dictated by Google Caffeine. Well, the name sounds so intoxicating.And as time passes, rumblings of launch of Google Caffeine gain credence all round.
What is Google Caffeine and how can you make the most of it?
What was the need for Google to come up with Google Caffeine? I think the answer lies in the mess created by acai berry and viagra sites. Now these sites have become a focus of FTC, and probably someone in Google foresaw this trend. And hence Google decided on the project to clean its own search. And the best way to do that is to tweak the algo. Amongst the changes expected in the algo will be a change in the weightage given to on-page optimization factors for ranking a website.
With the probable launch of Google Caffine, we expect the web to become better, faster, cleaner and more relevant. And for once we will have good riddance on those acai berry and viagra sites that occupy the first page on Google.
While Caffeine will be launched one fine day to make search experience an overall better experience, there are some assumptions that are being made to understand how it will impact everyone. To be honest, there is an assumption that the search will become more close to what Bing is offering. This means that you will need really good content alongside the backlinks to rank better. I do not think that the backlinks will be completely discounted, though I expect that the on-page factors will definitely gain in significance.
For now, I am happy and feel that webmasters like me will gain whenever Caffeine gets integrated. The value of content should gain a lot of importance, and if the search becomes faster and more relevant we may end up laughing our way to the Bank.
