SEO Real Estate

October 20th, 2009

If you’re a real estate agent and have a site, then you know how difficult it can be to rank higher in the search engines for your centered full terms. There are a slew of competitors all trying to get to the top ten spots that Google showcases. If you did a search for your keyword and looked at the top 10 competitors you would potentially see a bit of large brand names like Trulia and Zillow listed there.

What makes these sites rank so much better than usual agent websites and how can the average agent struggle with them? To respond to this question would take more than this article, but I want to give you one tip that if adhered to by agents would help knock down the big dogs.

One of the facets of ranking well in the search engines in getting links from many quality websites. Trulia and Zillow have made it easy to obtain links by providing accounts for property agents to login to and hold. Most of the agents that have these accounts advertise these accounts on their internet site. They advertise by placing a link on their site going to their account page on Trulia’s site or Zillow’s website, so creating links back to the major players.

Without even knowing it, the agent gives links back to these sites, which help them rank better in the search engines, even outranking the agent’s own web site. I’m not saying that you must toss out your Trulia account, but from an SEO viewpoint, I would not be giving links to a site that’s really my rival in the search engines. You would not think about giving links to other agents in your home town who are your competition, so why would you give links to your competition in the search engines. This little fact could change the playing field for real estate agents nationwide attempting to rank for particular keywords.

real estate agents need to remove these big brand links off their sites to decrease the quantity of links being passed to the big boys. I’ll say that even doing this tiny thing may not drop the big boys off the search site chart, but it can aid. Google gives big brands weight in their algorithms, so you can’t knock them off completely, but every agent should try and do what they can. If you can gain a few spots in your rankings then it’s worthwhile. The higher you are in the rankings, the more viable leads you can establish, and therefore , the more feasible closings you can obtain.

Choosing Affiliate Products That Are Profitable

October 18th, 2009

Affiliate promotion can be equally gratifying and aggravating at the same time. The concept of marketing other people’s products online is rather effortless. The recipe for success on paper is pretty simple also. The problems comes in when the actual selecting of a product and promoting the product begins.

The question of the day is; When should you pull the plug on marketing campaign? If you are using Pay Per Click, you only have a few days to make that decision before you lose the shirt off your back.

The procedure I utilized to determine if a product is worthy of my continue pains relies on a lot of causes. Today I will reveal with you the procedure that has kept me from quitting on affiliate advertising on the whole.

Investigate Your Product:

You want to come across a product that is to some extent competitive but not too competitive. A product that is more saturated will seize up too much time with natural SEO and to much currency with paid advertising. A entirely unexploited market may signify two things: one the product is not in demand or you have discovered a fortune chess. To find out if you are sitting on a treasure, you must do some keyword inquiries to find out if the inquiries for the product is soaring.

Check Your Product:

Before you pay out a dime promoting any product, do some test to make sure that It will sell. The simplest way to test a product is to find a few non competitive keywords and set up a Squidoo Lens or a Hub on Hub Pages. Create a non promotional review about the product utilizing your keywords in the title and body. If you do not generate a sale after 200 Clicks, then throw away the campaign.

Evaluate Keywords Selection:

It is a wise choice to use more than one keyword tool. Numerous people breathe or die by one keyword tool. This can be a huge mistake since keyword study is not an precise science. The only people that know for sure all the keywords that are being used is the search engines and they are not telling. Comparing your keywords with at least two sources will give you a better suggestion of the keywords usefulness.

I in my opinion like to use Google adwords keyword tool for suggestions on keywords only. They tend to be more valuable for adwords broad match than for individual placement for a keyword. I then compare the suggestions from adwords with Word Tracker, Keyword Discovery and Word Pot. If I get 3 out of 4 to agree, then I push forward. Two out of four, I proceed with caution. One out of four, I throw away the keyword.

The entire time it takes me to do this examination is about 3 hours for roughly 10 keywords. Those 3hours of testing and research on the other hand, can save months of dissatisfaction and loads of cash. The keys to succeeding may be unique for every person, but one thing for sure is you will require a plan of assault before you can be successful.

The decision between paid advertising and organic seo depends on how patient a marketer you are. Before you waste your cash on ineffective advertising, get the free manual on search engine placement.

Niche Marketing Is Easy When You Know How!

September 17th, 2009

In recent times, the world has become specialized. While there used to be a huge offering by businesses in the past, they now only do business with a small group of customers. Also called niche marketing, this approach lets business owners focus on a small group of customers and deliver the best service to them. These niche markets often feel challenged by big brand name companies.

There are plenty of reasons why you should try it out for yourself. First, lets see what it all means. What it means is just to provide goods and services for a particular demographic of people. The benefits are very obvious. A small customer base is easier to manage than a bigger one. It is much easier to start a business in a niche too. Choose a niche you like, and it will make your work more fun.

Niche marketing focuses on getting one up on your competitors. This is done by simply delving into the minds of your customers, and giving them exactly what they want by focusing on their needs. Don’t hold on to old marketing adages, be bold and experiment other angles.

With niche marketing, the place is no longer a key factor. Niche marketing no longer has much barriers to entry, as the Internet gets more popular. It is an easy task if you should want to bring products and services to sell online. To be successful in niche marketing, you really have to know your prospects inside out.

To dominate your niche, you have to be perceived as an expert. This is done by reading extensively and associating yourselves with other experts. As it is hard to know your market demographics, this is where Quantcast.com comes in. It reveals critical details about your prospects such as how old they are, their average income, what they like, and much more. In these niches, the company that knows their customers the most will be the most profitable.

The Internet is a safest bet to start niche marketing. After establishing yourself as an expert in the niche, you will find that your business is in a good position for expansion. For illustration purpose, imagine you’re a wine seller specializing in unique blends in your vineyard. You could expand your business offering by offering an affiliate program, partnering with a wine fair, or even selling wine glass sets or racks. The customer’s need takes precedence over anything in your niche. If they are satisfied with your services and products, naturally they will recommend you to other people.

Craigslist Makes it Big

September 17th, 2009

What started out as a small- time electronic newsletter chain link for certain professionals in San Francisco turned out to be a very successful website that has a wide network of connections known the world over. Truly, Craigslist has served to be a godsend to people who would want to avail classified ad services electronically without the hassles of transaction.

The process of registering to Craigslist is a breeze as one only needs to fill in particulars with a valid email address and be aware of the posting limitations. One’s personal information is always masked which serves as a form of reassurance for people worrying about their privacy.

Navigation is also a breeze for everyone since its website is composed of very organized and clear outline. This concept is made well kept by CEO Jim Buckmaster along with the business smarts of Craig Newmark, its founder.

Revenues pour in from the fees for job and apartment listings which range from ten to seventy dollars. Rental ads also have a certain price and such profits are enough to run the twenty five Craigslist employees.

An ongoing matter that this company constantly addresses is the misuse of its services for theft or revenge. Many claim that it even has the power to rob journalism of its prowess and has since transformed the future of the information industry.

As any other business, this site is constantly on the move to eliminate many hoax advertisements posted by some users to lure innocent victims. Moreover, this ever expanding service of Craigslist somehow poses as a threat to local newspaper journalists who thrive in print media industry

SEO In Two Easy Steps

September 16th, 2009

Of the various SEO techniques, I have learned that two are the most prominent. So what have I learned? Perhaps too much to tell, but to condense what I have learned, there are two basic techniques to growing back links to your website to grow the site’s page rank on Google. The first phase is to find and secure organic back links with anchor text from the billions of sites that are in the world. The second method is to create your very own sites that you control and place your back links onto those sites that link back to your own. Both methods can be performed legitimately, or through less scrupulous methods, but combining both methods together is a great way to propel your site’s ranking to the top.

The first method is pretty straight forward and self explanatory, so let us instead focus on how to use the second approach. The second method is what I want to talk about because we are talking about establishing good page rank links back to your website from other websites that you manage. What are the steps to get started? I have developed the list below to help get you started:

1) You would be surprised how high social networks rank. Strangely enough, pageflakes and not so weirdly facebook rank very well on search engines as does Linked In links. Use online social networks to establish some authoritative links back to your site as well as increase your online footprint.

2) Take a look at Hub Pages, Squidoo, and even Tumblr: Stop by these three free websites and start creating topic-specific micro-sites. These sites rank relatively well and by using them, you can get a great deal of authority with very little effort.

3) For more advanced web surfers, there is always the option of creating a directory or forum. There is a lot of software available in the open source area that you may use to develop unique websites that focus to your area of specialization or your region. Create them and sponsor them from your home page with anchor links.

4) Blogging tools. I understand that blogging takes a commitment, but as a Google product, Blogger has a very high page rank; which means any links from a blogger site will have a high weight. Develop numerous blogs, (don’t link them together) and add back links with anchor text to your focus website. Recruit guest bloggers or pay per article ghost writers to create content. There are software programs out there that will actually scrape content from other sites, but these will get you banned from blogger. Unique original and legitimate content is best.

With this approach you can increase your online footprint and the odds of being found online. Develop a lot of sites and use them to drive traffic to your primary website. I know that time is valuable and what I have reviewed above may initially take a lot of time, but the real estate market is becoming extremely cutthroat and your success may ultimately rely on how many people can find you online.

The Importance of Optimizing for the Search Engines

September 15th, 2009

Although almost everybody has at least heard a little bit about search engine optimization, the vast majority of people are really unsure exactly how important it is for their Internet marketing efforts. Some people may do quite well without really worrying about the traffic that they are getting from the search engines. Perhaps they’re using social media or purchasing advertising in some way or another. The simple fact of the matter is, however, if you’re not using search engine optimization, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table.

Perhaps it could be best illustrated in this way. Imagine if you had a store in your local town and you had two different groups of people that will be coming into it. The first group of people was somewhat interested in what you are offering and just came in to see what it is that you had on your shelves. The second group of people, however, was looking for something very specific and they already had their credit card in their hands.

If you had to choose one of these two groups to have coming into your website, which one would it be? Of course, the answer is rather obvious and this is exactly what optimizing your webpages for the search engines is going to give to you. It honestly is that good.

The way that search engine optimization is done, however, does take a little bit of looking into. Although entire books could be written on the subject, you can really break it down into two particular forms of optimization that need to be done. You have your on-site optimization which is done directly on your webpages and your off-site optimization which really consists of incoming links.

The on-site optimization is fairly easy to do. You need to discover the key words that people are searching for in your particular niche and then include them on the pages on your website. You should make sure that they are included in the title tag, along with being sprinkled throughout the entire page naturally. Don’t over do it, simply include them and that will be enough.

There is a lot more to the off-site optimization and it may take a little bit of research on your part in order for you to be able to do it properly. In a nutshell, however, it only has to do with finding incoming links your website and getting them from a variety of different sources. Our favorite ways for starting out with this type of optimization would include article marketing and social bookmarking. You might also want to have a blog with your webpage which would include some controversial information which people would link to naturally.

Yes, search engine optimization does take some work in order for it to get done properly but that work is going to be worth any effort that you have to put into it. It can bring additional traffic to your website and once that traffic starts coming in, it can make your entire Internet business very successful quickly. Why not start with your optimization practices today?

How an SEO Agency Will Save Your Life in 8 Simple Steps! (No, seriously.)

September 14th, 2009

#1: Locate your customers. The whole point of being visible online is to increase the sets of eyes that come to your site. This is the number-one practical priority for any good SEO agency (but check out #8 for the overall goal of SEO itself). Good optimization gets you good customers ” its as simple as that.

#2: Build a proper site. If youve got a pre-existing website that isnt working for you, your SEO company should be able to help. Some design firms still charge huge amounts of money for a site, despite the fact that content management systems are free and extremely easy-to-setup these days. A proper agency will expertly refresh (or redesign) your entire site, and often do it for minimal cost if you agree to become a long-term client.

#3: Generate your content. Content is king online ” its a clich, and its true. Press releases, promotional articles, blog posts, or just the actual copy on your website that your visitors see ” it all needs to be written, and needs to be written well. A good SEO partner is always full of fast, accurate, and talented writers who are able to help.

#4: Bring out your best. One of the most important points about SEO is developing a strong working relationship with your agency. Just like with any marketing rapport, its important to have a mutual understanding on both sides of what each team member can do. The people doing your marketing work need to understand where you shine, so they can highlight those crucial points.

#5: Hit your milestones. While making specific promises about search engine rankings is dangerous, hitting specific business targets is not ” in fact, thats exactly what SEO is all about. A good SEO agency will discuss your business goals with you and make sure youre always on track to reach them, adjusting the SEO efforts in that direction all the while.

#6: Expand your demographics. We all know the internet doesnt just exist in English, or in one particular country. But can the company youre working with maximize those international opportunities, and find you customers you didnt know you had? If youre not sure where to start, talk to your SEO guys ” they should be able to help.

#7: Comprehend your market. Any group of SEO experts worth doing business with will spend time researching your market first, and continue to stay up-to-date on your competitors throughout your relationship. If you start working with a company who applies the same model to every single client, you should switch.

#8: Earn you more business. This is the point of venturing into SEO and internet marketing in the first place ” gaining more customers, whether your business is largely online or off. Engaging with SEO is essentially marketing, but the best marketing can help remind you why youre in business in the first place. Make sure your SEO agency is doing that for you!
